Create your own homemade clay mask recipe with any of the following. Although there are a lot of similarities, there are also some important differences, such as whether a clay is better for sensitive skin or oily skin.

Calming Face Mask, with French Pink clay:
- 1 ounce of clay
- 3 T of pure water
- 1 teaspoon each of a special carrier oil like apricot kernel or rose hip
- a couple drop of neroli or rosewood essential oil
- Mix to form a paste, apply to skin, wash off in 10 minutes with warm water.
China White or Kaolin clay mask for dry or sensitive skin:
- 3 T of kaolin clay
- 1 tsp to 1 T of any special ingredient such as yogurt, aloe vera gel, or honey
- few drops of your chosen essential oil – optional
- add clean water for a thinner consisitency
- apply a thin layer, leave for 10-25 minutes, rinse well to remove, wash face as normal, apply moisturizer.
Red Clay mask for normal to oily skin:
- 3 T of red clay
- few drops of essential oils such as Lavender or Sandalwood – optional
- 1 tsp – 1 T of rosewater or honey
- add clean water for your consistency
- mix well, apply a thin layer, rinse off in 10 – 15 minutes, apply moisturizer
Rhassoul Clay mask for oily skin:
- 3 teaspoons of rhassoul clay
- few drops of essential oil
- add tea tree if treating a skin infection
- can add specialty ingredients like 1 tsp honey
- mix well, add water for right consistency, apply, leave for 10-15 minutes, rinse, apply moisturizer
- for troubled skin, use once a week
Green Face Mask for tightening, toning and detoxifying skin:
- 1 T of green clay
- 2 T of pure water
- 2 – 3 drops of your chosen essential oil
- medium to light consistency, like a paste, apply for 10 minutes, rinse, and moisturize.
Green Clay natural Poultice for increased circulation, insect bites, etc:
- 3 T of green clay
- 4 – 5 T of warm pure water
- Apply the thick paste to the afflicted area and cover with gauze
- leave for up to 2 hours, and remove before the clay dries. If dry, spray with water then remove and discard.
Yellow Clay Renewing Face Mask for dry or sensitive skin:
- 1 ounce of clay (2T)
- 3 T of pure water
- 1 teaspoon of specialty carrier oil like jojoba oil
- few drops of your favorite essential oil
- Mix well to form a paste, apply to face
- leave for approx. 10 minutes, and rinse off.
Yellow Clay Foot Treatment:
- 1/2 cup of yellow clay
- 1/2 cup of warm pure water
- 4 – 5 drops of an antibacterial essential oil like tea tree or eucalyptus
- apply mixture to feet, wrap with a towel or plastic wrap
- leave for 15 minutes and rinse off.
Bentonite clay mask for acne or oily skin:
- 2 T of bentonite clay
- 1.5 T of oatmeal
- 1 T of baking soda
- 2 – 4 drops of tea tree essential oil
- 1 T of pure water
- mix all the ingredients thoroughly, apply this mask on your skin leave for 20 minutes
- rinse off using lukewarm water
Fuller’s Earth, good for all skin types:
- 3 T Fullers Earth Clay
- 1 T pure water
- adjust water to make a paste
- apply to skin and rinse off in 10 minutes.
Glacial Bay Organic Clay, super mineralized:
- 1 T of Glacial Bay organic clay
- 1 T of liquid such as aloe vera gel and/or pure water
- few drops of your chosen essential oil – optional
- apply to face, leave on 10 – 20 minutes
- rinse off well, use a toner (optional) and moisturizer as usual
- you’ll feel the change, and can use this facial once a week
Zeolite Clay mask for super detoxifying:
- 3 T of zeolite clay
- optional – can add drops of your essential oil choice
- 1 tsp – 1 T of special additives such as honey or rose hip oil
- mix well, apply thin layer
- rinse off in 10 – 15 minutes, apply moisturizer
- can use this mask once a week.
