Make lavender rosemary soap, or just rosemary soap, with the recipe below. Rosemary is one of those therapeutic, yet inexpensive, essential oils, perfect for a morning shower. This essential oil is considered to be antimicrobial and antiseptic, meaning it can help combat eczema and dermatitis. For that morning shower, Rosemary has shown to improve alertness and cognitive awareness, and is now being studied for uses against dementia.
Recipe to make lavender rosemary soap, or….
alter it to make only Rosemary soap, or into Mint & Rosemary soap:
- Using the Basic #2 recipe:
51.2 oz Olive Oil or a Olive/Canola blend
6.2 oz coconut oil
6.2 oz Palm oil
23.4 oz water
8.6 oz lye crystals
for this scented bar, add:
2 1/2 T Rosemary essential oil
- 1 1/2 T Lavender essential oil
to adjust to make only Rosemary soap:
- 5 T of Rosemary essential oil
- to adjust to make a Mint & Rosemary soap:
- 2 1/2 T Rosemary essential oil
- 1 1/2 T peppermint essential oil
- rosemary sprigs
Here is a beautiful Rosemary Mint bar, with dried mint leaves added, in a nice labeled box with big window to see the soap:
I love this label/packaging! Printing on the package, cute with a ribbon, and can still see the soap from the side:
And another very pretty version of a Lavender and Rosemary soap, with lavender petals right inside the soap. And this label technique is unique as well, card on the front held on by ribbon:
FYI: My random notes for this soap in my soap recipe binder state, “5 T of scent too weak?”, “no color”.
