antibacterial soap

You can make your own antibacterial soap with this complete all-points-covered recipe. Those antibacterial brand name soaps contain a chemical called “triclosan”. This is a nasty chemical developed to killing germs and bacteria on contact. I did not realize how rampant this chemical was being used, without our knowledge or permission, onto and into our everyday products and lives. Not impressed! Now this recipe is: anti-septic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal! A lot of soap makers make an anti-bacterial soap, but containing only Tea Tree, whereas this covers all germ variants.

make your own antibacterial soap recipe:

  • Using basic #2 recipe:
51.2 oz Olive Oil or an Olive/Canola blend
    6.2 oz coconut oil
    6.2 oz Palm oil
    23.4 oz water
    8.6 oz lye crystals
    for this therapeutic bar, add:
1 1/2 tsp Lime essential oil
    2 tsp Rosemary essential oil
1 T Tea Tree essential oil
1 1/2 tsp Orange essential oil
1 1/2 tsp Lemon essential oil
    1/2 tsp Eucalyptus essential oil
    Other:
    1 T Neem oil
    2 1/2 tsp spinach powder – optional
2 1/2 tsp of green clay

Note: the green clay is for drawing toxins from the skin. Clay also has an awesome exfoliating effect, its the perfect skin cleanser.

My notes in my soap recipe binder state the “final bar smells good”, “the spinach flakes throughout look nice”, and “not a big seller”. Sorry to say it’s not a big seller, it should be, for such an important natural germ killer.  Oh, and that it cost $0.87 each to make.

The soap below is very similar to my anti-bacterial soap, that I had named “Tea Tree Plus”, it’s a nice natural tint with dried plants to add to the natural aspects:

And here is one of the culprits that are adding to the demise of our health. Unless you’ve been changing diapers and got baby poop under your fingernails (been there), you don’t need a toxin like this. If I had just touched a Bubonic Plague patient, I’d be bathing in this, but for the most part, you don’t need a bacteria killer – remember, we are part human, part bacteria.
