strawberry patch soap recipe

I loved this Strawberry Patch soap recipe. Reminded me of the Strawberry Patch scent of years ago. It’s a really nice combination too, any hippy-ish soul will love it. And easy to make with scents and 1 or 2 colors.

Strawberry Patch soap recipe:

  • 51.2 oz Olive oil a Canola/ Olive Oil  blend (more base recipes here):
    6.2 oz Coconut oil
    6.2 oz Palm oil
    21.4 oz water *
    8.6 oz lye crystals
    (for a total 95.6 oz of soap base)
  • (* this is 2 oz less water than other recipes due to the higher amount of liquid fragrance)
  • scent:
  • 4 oz strawberry fragrance oil
  • 4 oz patchouli fragrance oil
  • colorant:
  • your choice, maybe a natural/tan color with a red layer or swirl
  • patchouli essential oil is thick and a medium brown color
  • red for the strawberry scent

A beautiful version of a Strawberry soap, with poppy seeds. Looks like strawberries with their little seeds. The stamped label is decorative all by itself:

And of course we have the Body Shop, whom I really, really do not like! This company has twisted the English language to make people think that their soaps and products are natural. They used the term “naturally inspired”, which really means nothing. The act of inspiration is really imagination created by brain synapses. This wording also implies that it’s origins are natural. We used to get people ask us if our products were natural like the Body Shop, and we would say NO, ours were actually natural!!!!!!

Sodium Palmate (Surfactant), Sodium Palm Kernelate (Surfactant), Aqua (Water) (Solvent/Diluent), Glycerin (Humectant), Sorbitol (Humectant), Palm Kernel Acid (Surfactant), Parfum (Fragrance), Fragaria vesca (Strawberry Juice) (Natural Additive), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Tetrasodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), Tetrasodium Etidronate (Chelating Agent), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Citral (Fragrance Ingredient), CI 14700 (Colour), CI 17200 (Colour).

Here is a list of essential oils, to make a real natural soap, and all under $100 a one-liter bottle. This page has the list I had at the store to maintain a budget and subsequently keep soap prices lower.
